Gauteng Provincial Under 19 Team |
| The Gauteng U19 squad is a special squad of cricketers that carried themselves like professionals on and off the field. Out of a squad of seventeen players, thirteen players represented Gauteng Schools at the Khaya Majola Cricket Week that was held in Bloemfontein in December 2010. They dominated the tournament and finished top team of the week by beating Free State on the last day of the tournament. |
| The following boys were selected for the following teams: |
Quinton de Kock – SA Schools
Keaton Jennings – SA Colts and captained the team
Shaylen Pillay – SA Colts
David Mogotlane – SA Colts |
| Also, these squad of seventeen players participated in the CSA U19 Three-day competition and finished top of the group. They played against Northerns, Easterns and North West. We had four players making the SA U19 team that played against Zimbabwe earlier in this year and dominated throughout the series. The players were Keaton Jennings (Captain), Quinton de Kock, Malcolm Nofal and Shaylen Pillay. With the SA U19 team due to tour England in July this year, we hope that we can have more players from Gauteng and look to dominate the series against England. |
