We hosted the Sunfoil Tournament at the UJ- Soweto Campus from the 17 -21 March 2017.
This was the 6th year in which boys from our Hubs and RPC program had the opportunity to test their skills against each other as well as against visiting teams. KZN Cricket Union, Northerns, North West and Easterns joined us for a very successful tournament. The quality of the skills on show and performances from the players was truly great. The final was played between Central and Northerns, and what a match it was with the boys from the north being victorious by 12 runs.

Montrose Night Series
Our RPC U13 team participated in the Montrose Night challenge, which started at the beginning of the year and finished mid-March 2017. Our team showed some great skills and match awareness to make the final of this prestigious tournament. We had titanic class against Dainfern College on the night after the win against Heronbridge. The night completely belonged to 12-year-old Tshepo Stava with a great all-round performance, scoring a hundred when his team needed him on the score 70/4; the young men ended up scoring 170 in their allotted 20 overs. The RPC, with a clinical performance on the field then made easy work of a strong Dainfern team to win the Montrose Night Series on the evening.
The performance from the players and coaching staff has made us incredibly proud of the development work that we are putting into our township program.
