| “Biltong and Kangaroo” |
| Dear Cricket Lover |
| One World of Sport and the Pirates Club are proud to forward you the following details regarding an extremely special cricket lunch at the Pirates Club. |
| “Biltong and Kangaroo” is an event featuring three legends in South African Cricket, namely cricketer of the century Graeme Pollock, Barry Richards and Mike Procter. |
| The Australians tour South Africa in October and November later this year, and the last time a South African team beat Australia on home soil
in a Test Series, was back in 1970 when all three of these gentlemen played in that Test Series. |
| This luncheon gives South Africans an opportunity to listen to these legends’ views and also to pay tribute to three of the greatest
International Cricketers in the history of the game. |
| The 1970 team is generally regarded, together with the Australians of the 1940’s and the West Indians of the 1970’s/80’s, as the greatest
International Team in the history of the game. |
| This could possibly be the last time that you will have the opportunity to listen to all three of these Cricketing Legends in one room talking
about International Cricket between South Africa and Australia. |
| General discussion on the day will be around how the South Africans, under the guidance of the newly appointed Cricket World Cup winning
coach, Gary Kirsten will perform against a new look Australian Team. Also, there will be a look back to the last time South Africa won a home
test series against Australia and how International Cricket has fundamentally changed. |
| Thereafter, a Question and Answer Session will be facilitated by Jeremy Fredericks, well-known SuperSport Sports Commentator. |
| A raffled draw will take place, so make sure you purchase raffle tickets– up for grabs will be a signed cricket bat, or a Richie Ryall Painting. |
