Club Cricket

| The Gauteng Cricket Board heads all Senior Clubs in the province. In total the GCB can boasts that 106 teams actively participate in the Sunday Leagues, 53 fixtures take place on a Sunday, 100 teams actively participate in the Saturday Senior Structure and that 50 Fixtures take place on a Saturday. A Club Dinner is held annually (May) to pay tribute to all those who excel at this level. |
| Club Cricket on a Sunday is played at Eight different Levels and on a Sunday at Ten different levels. The Premier , Presidents and Sunday Leagues teams play three competitions i.e. Time Cricket , Limited Overs (45 Overs) and a 20 Over Competition. These clubs are placed into the section based on points taken from the last season. |
| The Sunday Two , Three and Four Leagues are presently the only Time Cricket is played at this level . The GCB hopes to introduce the limited over competition at this level in the near future. Approximately Eighteen Fixtures on a home and away bases are played at this level. (Based on ten teams per league) |

| This league only plays 35 Overs. (Senior Players) and accommodates all those senior cricketers who want to play , however due to lack of time or energy prefer this format. |
| Sunday Six This league only plays 35 Overs and is a platform that clubs use as a transition from junior cricket to senior cricket. Players are exposed to conditions of playing cricket in a senior environment. The GCB encourages clubs to have at least eight juniors with 3 adults in this league. |
| The GCB has ten leagues in the Saturday Competition (Saturday One to Saturday Ten) which starts at 13:00 each Saturday in season. Each league comprises of ten teams and the eighteen fixtures are based on home and away bases. The Saturday leagues are used by clubs primarily to promote their clubs to people with time constraints and to juniors. |

| The GCB enjoys support of 26 Gauteng based clubs and the areas covered by these clubs are from Alberton, Vaal, North, Central, South and the West Rand including Randfontein. |

A total of 3744 learners are actively involved in cricket at any given weekend in season. |
